Crytek has released CryEngine 3 and let me just say this, WOW. The graphic’s capabilities for this are just jaw dropping. I’m playing through Uncharted 2: Among Thieves right now, which set the bar pretty high on graphics (the all around gameplay is just as awesome). But give CE3 to a decent dev and I think we’ll have a new standard.

I’m hopeful this can also make it easier to build a multi-plat game for devs. If they can “easily” port between HD consoles and PC I feel it’s a better thing for gamers everywhere. Anyway, check out the trailer for it after the break.
