Arizona, you crazy state you

Camera’s on freeways, sound like a bad idea; well it is. While in Arizona they not only had static cameras at some points they had mobile camera enforcement points. While it might seem like a good idea it had a side effect that isn’t too friendly, groups of cars that don’t like to allow you to move over. I can understand trying to stop people from driving 90 down the freeway; however, it seemed to create a lot of unneeded backup. Truthfully though, they give you plenty of warning before the enforcement points (1/2 mile and 300 ft.) and you have time to slow down if you happen to be going to fast. I just hope to hell CA doesn’t think about doing something like this. At least LA wouldn’t have to worry too much, every time I’m down there I can’t go faster than 5MPH do to the traffic.

They also just put in a rather odd illegal immigration bill. I don’t really see how the police are going to enforce this bill without doing some sort of racial profiling. They can already do immigration status checks of people they arrest; however, this new portion just doesn’t seem like a good use of time. The law, as I’ve read it, doesn’t really seem to break federal law on immigration; what it seems to do is “enhance” the enforcement. Now whether that “enhanced” enforcement breaks illegal search and seizure, or some other personal protection US citizens have the privilege to, is a completely different argument. I think the citizens are a little upset over recent events there and are agreeing with a knee jerk reaction of a bill. Anyway, that’s just my brief opinion on a fairly complex issue.

Back Home

After spending the last week in Arizona I can honestly say it’s good to be back home. While the temperature out there wasn’t too bad a couple of the days it was over 80 most of the time. Everything is in bloom out there and while beautiful, it killed my allergies. So with the emotional stress draining me during the day, the pollen in the air was the nail in the coffin for my energy. Anyway, I have a lot of catching up to do with work this week; no rest for the weary.

I’ve been diving into web coding recently with my free time, so you might see some changes to my website over the next couple of months (we’ll see how it goes). While I really don’t like doing code work, when I have an idea of how something should work, or look, I see if I can create it. I think I’ll also be working on hacking my Wii. Not for anything illegal, I just want to make it more usable and functional.  That’s all my brain can handle spewing out at the moment.

Remember keep you guard down, you never know when nothing’s coming your way.

Kingdom Hearts 2 we meet again

It’s been a long time since I fired up my PS2; however, I’ve had this urge to play Kingdom Hearts again. Well, I sure as hell didn’t plan on spending most of the evening playing it but that’s how it ended up. I seriously forgot how much fun, and addicting, this game is. It was nice to get my mind off normal life for a while and immerse myself killing millions of pixels on the screen. Now if only SE would finish up with FF Versus XIII and kick KH3 into high gear I’d be happy.

Latest Season of RvB = EPIC WIN!

Okay, in an otherwise crap day (Grandma, on my dads side, is in the hospital) the latest from Rooster Teeth productions is totally sick. Being a longtime sponsor I caught the ‘Extended’ showing (even though I know I won’t get a new episode now for about a month), and all I can say is they’ve gone above and beyond. That, and my brother will be working on some project for the state, through his school. I’m pretty sure it’s something dealing with emergency situations, or preparedness; however, I might not be remembering correctly. Actually, it was probably dealing with CA’s Zombie Plan, or something to that effect; yeah, I’m sure that was it. Whatever it was it sounded time consuming, but he was stoked so I guess it’s awesome.

Anyway enjoy Chapter 1 of Revelation after the break:
