Bit of awesome

So this past Saturday my brother, one of my cousins, and I spent the day at Disneyland (well, we got there around noon and stayed until about 11ish). It was totally fun and relaxing. The little bit of awesome happened while waiting to get on the Mark Twain Riverboat. We were just standing there talking when the pilot dude came up and asked if we wanted to go up to the Pilot House. It was a totally different experience and way cool. We essentially got a pseudo personalized “tour” of the ride as well as all the changes that have been made in recent months (to the surroundings, the boat has never changed).

Couple of safety tips learned. Note: not everything listed hear was done by me. Donald is also included in a few of the below.

  1. If your tall, pay attention to your surroundings. Hard, non-movable objects don’t feel good against your relatively soft head.
  2. If you put your sunglasses on your hat, don’t take your hat off and let your glasses attempt to wage war on the ground, normally the ground wins the battle.
  3. If your planning on going on Splash Mountain early, bring an extra pair of socks (or pack sandals and put those on before entering the ride).
  4. If you are 6’5″ and above I would recommend against even attempting to get on Space Mountain, lest you desire knee pain along with not being able to go on the ride [learned from our prior trip].
